Dragon Boat Victoria (DBV) is proud to announce the official launch of the VIC26 campaign for the 2026 Australian Championships (AusChamps), to be held in Queensland. This marks the earliest campaign launch in recent history, reflecting our commitment to strategic preparation and high performance at the national level.

The VIC26 campaign will be guided by a comprehensive plan that includes the appointment of a dedicated Head Coach and Campaign Manager. These key leadership roles will ensure a coordinated approach to athlete development, team selection, and campaign logistics. The early establishment of this leadership team will provide Victorian athletes with clear direction, enhanced support, and increased opportunities for engagement throughout the lead-up to the 2026 AusChamps.

DBV is excited to set a new benchmark for campaign planning and athlete readiness. We invite the Victorian dragon boat community to join us on this journey as we strive to deliver our strongest performance yet on the national stage.

As well as appointing a Head Coach and Campaign Manager, there will be some new iniatives announced. Some of these changes have been requested many times over and DBV is excited to see them come to fuitition. For example, DBV is happy to confirm it will cover athlete entry fees to participate in VIC26.

This is it Victoria - whether you’re a seasoned paddler or ready to take your paddling to the next level, this campaign is designed to help you grow, push your limits, and achieve something amazing, together!
