The AusDBF D&I committee covers a broad range diversity and inclusivity. The committee’s aim is to discover how they can encourage, open up dialogue to  minority groups and show how diverse and welcoming dragon boat is. The committees work covers a broad range of activities such as, looking at what organisations AusDBF can partner with,  creating resources for clubs including education and online training opportunities, social media awareness and campaigns.

Whilst AusDBF has made good inroads with Pride, there is still more to do in this space, the last 12 months has been focusing on disability and the inclusion of the inaugural Paradragon races at AusChamps and Auroras. The next focus on from this is ‘invisible disability’.
