New DBV By-Law:
**Median Age may be used at regattas in events as specified on the DBV website, other than State Championships. RevSport automatically calculates the median age of all crews participating in a regatta. Note that the nominated Sweep and Drummer are not included by RevSport in the calculation, and the Median Age is based on the crew list entered in RevSport at the time of registrations closing. Once registrations close, no further paddler changes can be made.

If the Sweep and Drummer are not nominated in RevSport at the time of registrations closing but are included in the crew list, they will automatically be included in the RevSport calculation of Median Age. Clubs should list the Sweep and Drummer as an Official to avoid skewing the Median Age. Where Sweeps and Drummers may paddle, they can be listed as such. 

Where Median Age is used, DBV may create two even divisions for each event, around the 50% mark of the teams entered. Alternatively, handicap times may be applied to median age events in circumstances where only one division exists. Where crews use different paddlers across two heats / races, the Median Age of the crew does not change from the RevSport calculation received when entering the crew list at the time of registrations closing.
