Course prerequisites:

  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR

  • Current WWCC -Working with Children Check (https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ )

  • Completion of ANCAS eLearning modules

  • Coaching for Athletes Safety

  • Coaching and the Law

  • Rules & Regulations

  • (Further details using the AusDBF Learning Management System, log in & access will be forwarded upon course payment/enrolment confirmation)

Please ensure you bring adequate clothing for practical on-water session and a change of warm clothes.

Content covered

During the two day course, the following areas will be covered, both from a theoretical and practical viewpoint – through a variety of  presentations, media, peer and group discussion and differing activities.

  • Planning to Coach,

  • Preparing to Coach,

  • Conduct of Coaching,

  • Evaluate Coaching

Group coaching sessions will be held on the water, on both days, so please plan to come prepared with adequate warm clothing for practical on water sessions and change of clothes.
