DBV have partnered with Buddha Light International to run a showcase event at Multicultural day in the heart of Melbourne at Federation Square on 19th-20th May. This is an exciting opportunity to engage the public and to get attention at a high footfall event, in keeping with our Chinese heritage.

The weekend itself will consist of the following:

1) Across the Saturday and Sunday there will be a stand in Fed Square by the tourist information. This will include a TV with promotional videos, a decorated 10s boat for people to interact with, and an erg race with the chance to win prizes.

2) Sunday 20th we will run a few showcase races at 11:00am. Paddlers will need to paddle the decorated boats from the hub up to Fed Square. We will run ‘best of 3’ mixed 200m racing with space for 4 boats. The winning team can then send a volunteer to be part of a presentation ceremony on the main stage.
