The Warriors were founded September 2012 due to the increased popularity from community participation at the annual local Albury Wodonga Regatta. The purpose of establishing the Warriors was to have a 100% sporting Club within the community of Albury Wodonga competing in local, state, national and international regattas. The main objective of Warriors is to develop teams across all age divisions, including Juniors, Premiers, Masters and Grand Masters. We are located at Gateway Lakes Wodonga, which is a quarry based water sport facility. We encourage and develop all aspects of Dragon Boat Racing for our members from paddling technique, physical fitness, sweeping, coaching and team work. We train on the water twice a week - (Mondays and Wednesday's from 5.45pm), and one evening (Thursday's) dry land training for fitness. For more information and to see what is happening at the Warriors’camp in Albury Wodonga check us out on our Facebook page or the email address above and we will get back to you. Our club motto: “We train to race and race to win”. |
