DBV Releases Further VIC26 Details

DBV are excited to announce the next phase of the VIC26 campaign.

The following resources are designed to help DBV members best prepare for the VIC26 campaign and to support those considering expressing interest.

Please review the documents at the bottom of the VIC26 page of the DBV website to gain a greater understanding of the requirements and the approach to crew selection.

1. Fitness Benchmarking (FBM) schedule provides an overview of the requirements,

2. Fitness Benchmarking ‘cheat sheet’ – explains each of the 8 exercises in detail to help you perform them safely including links to demonstration videos. For the Beep Test please visit Prime Motion Training,

3. 8-week strength plan – this suggested program has been created to support athletes whose clubs do not provide a dedicated training plan. It is intended as a guide to help you prepare for the FBM.

For the best results, we recommend following the program exactly as outlined. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact your Coach.

In addition to following the plan, training in groups of three or four is encouraged to help motivate and support each other in reaching your goals.

We ask that you approach your FBM preparation sensibly and practically. If you are new to gym training, exercise, or this type of testing, please adopt a gradual approach that prioritises safety, reduces the risk of injury, and does not interfere with your club training.
