It's been great to see so many DBV clubs, and individual members, out and about at big events over the last month!

A number of members, including a crew from Warriors participated in the Ord River Marathon. By all accounts, an amazing experience amongst amazing scenery.

A group of breast cancer paddlers competed at the Concord Pacifica Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver Canada, placing third!

And finally, a number of members, including some from Bendigo, Melbourne and Paynesville participated in Vogolonga 2025.
We are sure there are probably more members in other teams, and If we missed mentioning you please know it wasn't intentional! In fact, if you have been at an event, and you'd like to share your experience with everyone, please email administration@dragonboatvictoria.com.au and we will be sure to include your story in the next newsletter. Individuals or teams - we'd love to hear from you!

After months of anticipation and careful planning, the big weekend is finally here—Dragon Boat Victoria will be participating in the spectacular Firelight Festival in Docklands! Our boats are looking absolutely stunning, all dressed up and fitted with dazzling lights, ready to light up the night for some thrilling nighttime racing on Saturday evening. We can’t wait to see the excitement on the water and hear the cheers from the crowd!
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible members who have stepped up to volunteer and race—your passion and dedication are what make our sport so special, and we know you’ll put on an unforgettable show for all the spectators.
But that’s not all! We’ll also have boats on display as part of a stunning static exhibition, giving the public a unique chance to get up close and see what makes our sport so amazing. Expect plenty of smiles, selfies, and Instagram-worthy moments as visitors snap photos and share the excitement with their friends and families.
This is going to be a weekend to remember, make recommendations to your all friends and family to come down to experience the festival.

Recently, new videos have been added to the DBV website to support our community and enhance our resources. The first video provides a comprehensive guide on the safe use of the TK1 (single craft) at the Docklands Hub, covering essential procedures and best practices to ensure everyone can enjoy these vessels securely.

Additionally, a set of two professionally produced drumming videos has been uploaded, offering valuable instruction and inspiration for drummers.
