Following closure of the nomination period, the DBV Secretary has received four (4) nominations for three (3) available Director positions at the 2025 DBV Annual General Meeting, set to take place at 8pm on Thursday 13 November, 2025. 

The four candidates are:

As per the DBV Constitution, an election will take place when the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies. The Board will consist of up seven Elected Directors and the capacity to appoint up to two Appointed Directors and two Associate Directors exists (Clause 44 (1)).

The current DBV Board has four Elected Director positions with one year remaining. Those four positions are currently held by Caroline Mulchay, Stephen Arrowsmith, Jacqui Hillas and Tricia Lewis.  

Voting will take place via RevSport survey. Voting will be anonymous, however, you will be required to login simply to verify your DBV membership status. Please ensure you have access to RevSport well before the AGM, otherwise contact DBV if you are having issues. 

Voting will open at 9am, 13 November 2025 and will close at a time determined by the Chair during the AGM. Voters must vote for the candidate/s they wish to elect. Voters must not vote for any more than three (3) candidates. Any ineligible votes will be discarded.

If you cannot attend the AGM you will need to vote via RevSport survey on Thursday 13 November. No late votes will be accepted.

Crew registrations have now closed for Footscray and Cross Border. DBV is happy to advise a healthy number of Cross Border registrations with seventeen (17) teams attending. Thank you to all registered teams. 

DBV now kindly requests clubs commence entering paddlers/athletes ASAP, for both Footscray and Cross Border. As DBV is using median age to determine divisions, without this data entered into RevSport fairly allocate clubs to respective age divisions. 

In order to finalise the Footscray Race Draw (this applies to Women's 10s - 200m and Open's 10s - 200m), crew lists must be entered into RevSport by Monday 10 November, and for Cross Border, no later than Friday 14 November. Thank you for your assistance with this request. Later changes can be made as per DBV By-Laws, however, in the interest of releasing the draw in a timely manner, crews will be allocated to divisions based on median age at the time stated above.
