On Sunday 17 August, 2025 the Battle on the Barwon (BoB) took place in cool conditions but most importantly under relatively sunny skies.

There were 332 paddlers across 13 Categories, in 3 race distances, being the 5.4km, 3.5km and 100m. Congratulations to all participants and in particular our race winners. All race results are now available on the Dragon Boat Victoria Website under the Results tab on the home page. I would like to take a moment to sincerly thank everyone who contributed to what was a successful Regatta, namely:

• Geelong Dragon Boat Club as hosts.
  a) Read a note from GDBC President Denis Jenkins - Letter of Thanks
• All Volunteers and Officials. The day could simply not have unfolded without you.
• DBV Board & RAG. Thank you for your support and guidance prior, during and after. 
• The individuals who loaded and unloaded the boats onto the truck, and Matt Oates our driver.

The day finished with an official presentation where clubs received their trophies and paused for a quick photograph. A selection of photos is available at the bottom of this newsletter.
