| VIC26 & Transition to VIC27 |
Following a successful VIC26 Campaign, DBV is proud to announce the reappointment of Kathryn Sanford in her role as State Head Coach. Kathryn's knowledge and work eithic provided a platform for athletes, coaches, team managers and everyone associated with VIC26 to thrive. The DBV Board are delighted to see Kathryn lead our charge towards Aus Champs 2027.
In wrapping up VIC26 and looking ahead to VIC27, the following letter has been drafted (view here). The letter covers the post-campaign survey, key VIC27 strategy and future dates.
In addition, the EOI process for VIC27 Campaign Manager and Divisional Coaches are now open.

| Senior D Discussion Paper |
During the May 2026 Board Meeting the DBV Directors reviewed a Senior D discussion paper completed by Philippa McLean. Subsequently, Club Presidents were provided with a copy and have the opportunity to provide feedback to DBV. If you would like to contribute, please reach out to your Club President. |

Australian University Team Heavily Represented by Victoria
Last month the crew travelled to Liaocheng, China to compete in the Asian University Dragon Boat Championships. Aside from having loads of fun and making questionable social media reels, the Women’s small boat took out a Bronze medal in the 2km, 500m and 200m event.
