Australian Championships 2026

The moment has finally arrived! After months of planning, hard work and sacrifice, the 2026 Australian Championships commence tomorrow at Lake Kawana in QLD.

The DBV Board would like to extend its best wishes to all of our competing Clubs, along with the entire VIC26 Leadership Team and Athletes who will no doubt make their State proud on Monday.

Further to the above, DBV would specifically like to acknowledge the incredible contribution of our VIC26 Leadership Team - Head Coach Kathryn Sanford and Campaign Manager Gabriela Bodnarova. Your dedication and expertise have provided our Coaches, Team Managers and Athletes with the platform to succeed and we're extremely proud of our entire VIC26 team. Go hard and go well.

May Regatta - Footscray

Whilst the focus is well and truly on Aus Champs, registrations are now OPEN for next month's regatta. This is to be a short, sharp 200m regatta. We will be splitting age groups so that paddlers don’t have to attend all day. To this end we will run a combined Prems/Senior A racing in the morning slot intermingled with BCP events. In the afternoon it will be Senior B and Senior C racing, without handicaps. In the middle of the day there will be some corporate races - subject to entries.

Visit the DBV website for futher information view here.

DBV would like to schedule the next Coaching Course in mid-2026 to be held in Melbourne. To understand the demand and specifically whether this should be a Level 1 or Level 2 Course, please fill out the following survey. They survey will close on Friday 24 April.
